Resolution No. 16 - Americanism Commission

Wyoming American legion baseball will be adopting a zero no - tolerance

Wyoming American legion baseball will be adopting a zero no - tolerance policy for American legion baseball for disrespecting the American flag during the playing of the National Anthem.  In recent events regarding the flag and the National Anthem has been attached by protestors in different types of organizations.

Players, Coaches, General Managers and officials will show proper respect for the American flag during the playing of the National Anthem, or they will not play American legion baseball in Wyoming.

This policy will be enforced locally during regular season play, - but during conference, district play and state tournaments will be enforced by the American legion department baseball officials or tournament directors.

For those who will not meet the American legions expectations for proper respect of the American flag will be removed from the program and will not be allowed in any further participation.

The American legion is about 100% Americanism, in teaching the youth about American values.

This policy will be in compliance with National Executive Committee on resolution 16 that was passed in 2016 fall meeting
